Soccer Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Massaponax Panthers. While losing is never fun, Stafford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Massaponax are ranked 13th).

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Massaponax, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1.

As of now, neither Stafford nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
