Football Recap: Bellaire Wins Going Away Against Westside

Bellaire won the last time they faced Westside and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals took down the Wolves 24-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Bellaire can attribute much of their success to Will Hazen, who threw for 255 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes. The dominant performance also gave Hazen a new career-high in passer rating (126.4).

Despite the loss, Westside had strong showings from Gavin Allen, who rushed for 104 yards and one TD on only five carries, and Dillyn White, who rushed for 147 yards. With that strong performance, White is now averaging an impressive 106.5 rushing yards per game.

Bellaire's record now sits at 4-2. As for Westside, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Bellaire will take on Wisdom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
