Soccer Recap: Marquette Catholic Comes Up Short

Marquette Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbia Eagles. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Marquette Catholic couldn't quite close it out.

Marquette Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Columbia, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette Catholic will challenge Duchesne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbia, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Roxana at 5:30 p.m.
