Basketball Game Preview: Franklin County Seahawks vs. Taylor County Bulldogs

Franklin County has gone 3-0 against Taylor County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Franklin County Seahawks will host the Taylor County Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Franklin County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Franklin County was able to grind out a solid victory over Sneads, taking the game 32-24. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Pirates are ranked 551st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sa?Ryiah McNair, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thamia Thomas, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, Taylor County played a tough contest last Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 50-20 loss at the hands of Maclay.

Franklin County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points per game. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Franklin County was able to grind out a solid victory over Taylor County in their previous meeting on December 3rd, winning 30-19. Does Franklin County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taylor County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
