Basketball Game Preview: University Bulldogs vs. Weld Central Rebels

University has gone a perfect 7-0 against Weld Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The University Bulldogs will challenge the Weld Central Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, University came up short against Sterling and fell 59-49.

University might have lost, but man, Coehn Nitzel was a machine: he almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Nitzel has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 19 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcus Prestwich, who posted seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Weld Central ended up a good deal behind Eaton on Friday and lost 72-53. The Rebels have struggled against the Reds recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Weld Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for University, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 14-4.

Everything came up roses for University against Weld Central in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 73-29 win. In that contest, University amassed a halftime lead of 44-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
