Volleyball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe lost against Northwest Whitfield back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Bruins.

While Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23.

Ajla Rizvic paced Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense, picking up four kills. Rizvic got some help from Kinley Slatton and her six assists. Finally, Montana Noblitt kept Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defense grounded, leading the team with ten blocks.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Northwest Whitfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and Northwest Whitfield will both be playing North Murray the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
