Burlington-Edison won the last time they faced Sumner and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 30-16, 30-15.

Mikala Shaw paced Burlington-Edison's offense, picking up six kills. Shaw got some help from Reese Tyler and her 15 assists. Shaw was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Burlington-Edison's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Sumner, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Burlington-Edison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Anacortes on the 11th. Hopefully Sumner paid attention to the Tigers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
