Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds vs. Treasure Coast Titans

Lincoln Park Academy is 9-1 against Treasure Coast since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds are taking a road trip to take on the Treasure Coast Titans at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Lincoln Park Academy didn't have too much trouble with Martin County as they won 62-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.

Lincoln Park Academy found their leader in sophomore Laylah Dawkins, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those 18 points gave Dawkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexa Titherington, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treasure Coast). They blew past South Fork 78-15 on Tuesday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 499th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln Park Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for Treasure Coast, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Lincoln Park Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Treasure Coast in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 43-40. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Treasure Coast's Reniah Flynn, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds.
