Recap: South Central Trojans vs. Monroeville Eagles
The South Central Trojans lost against the Monroeville Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. South Central took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroeville. South Central has struggled against Monroeville recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, South Central still got an impressive performance from Trey Knoll, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Knoll scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Mccormack, who scored nine points.
South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Monroeville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
South Central's homestand continues as they prepare to take on New London at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. New London comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Monroeville is on the road again on Friday and play against St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
