North Stokes and East Columbus squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but North Stokes had to settle for second. They fell 32-21 to the Gators.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holden Shelton, who threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. A healthy portion of Shelton's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Jackson Bodenhamer, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Dawson Crosby had a dynamite game For East Columbus., rushing for 309 yards and four scores, while also throwing for 17 yards and one TD. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Crosby a new career-high.

North Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for East Columbus, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

North Stokes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Columbus, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 54-7 defeat against Robbinsville on the 21st.
