Baseball Recap: Bruce Comes Up Short

Bruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the East Webster Wolverines, falling 19-5. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Bruce saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sutton Gore, who went 3-for-4 with one home run. What's more, Gore posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Lane Stewart was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Bruce's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

While Bruce had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
