Flag Football Recap: Combs Skates Past Tournament Opponent with Ease

Combs was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tournament Opponent on Saturday. The Coyotes blew past Tournament Opponent, posting a 35-6 win. Considering the Coyotes have won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The critical scores for Combs came from Lucy Sandoval, Piper Blue, Jackie Newman, and Cami Blue.

Combs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Arley Hill, Sandoval, Danika Lehew, and Blue picked up one apiece. Hill is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Sandoval got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Combs' victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Combs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Vista Grande on the 18th. Tournament Opponent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
