Baseball Recap: Orangefield Triumphs

Orangefield posted their closest win since February 17th on Friday. They skirted past the Valley Mills Eagles 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Orangefield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layne Reynolds, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Carson Worthy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Orangefield's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Valley Mills, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Orangefield will be taking part in a tournament against Holland at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Orangefield is facing Holland at the right time seeing as Holland is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Valley Mills, they will head out to square off against Itasca at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
