Basketball Recap: Independence Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Independence waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They claimed a resounding 75-25 victory over the Winona Tigers. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Winona, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Independence will take on Byhalia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winona, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Choctaw County at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
