Soccer Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

If Lakewood was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nooksack Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lakewood fell just short of the Mount Vernon Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for Lakewood in their meetings with Mount Vernon: they've now lost four in a row.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mount Vernon, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
