Baseball Recap: Bloomington Find Success

Bloomington and Eisenhower pushed the score to 18-4 the last time they played Eisenhower, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Bruins' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 2-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Robert Bliss's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jayden Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
