Venture Academy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Tracy Bulldogs by a score of 72-62. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 61-55 loss.

Tracy's loss came despite strong showings from Maximillian Russell and Lars Lindroos. Russell went 9-for-18 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Lindroos went 5-for-8 to rack up 19 points. The game was Russell's fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Cam Breckenridge was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Venture Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Tracy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.

Venture Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-26 win against Turlock Christian on the 11th. As for Tracy, they have also already played their next match, a 66-65 defeat against Lodi on the 12th.
