It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Raritan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Holmdel Hornets 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 last Monday.

Raritan's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Julia DelMasto, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Raritan's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Holmdel, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raritan will welcome Toms River East at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Holmdel, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Manalapan at 4:00 p.m.
