Daingerfield extended their postseason success on Friday against Newton. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over the Eagles. Daingerfield might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten games by 21 points or more this season.
Chase Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Braden Lewis and his 107 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Daingerfield's win.
Meanwhile, Tidehaven put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Poth with a 34-28 victory. Given Tidehaven's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Poth is ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
