Soccer Game Preview: Scotts Valley vs. Santa Cruz

The Scotts Valley Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Santa Cruz Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scotts Valley's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Scotts Valley's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Harbor 1-0. The Falcons' winning goal came courtesy of Ella Ireland.

Meanwhile, Santa Cruz and Soquel finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Santa Cruz's draw makes their record 4-6-3 this season. As for Scotts Valley, the win got them back to even at 6-6-4.

Scotts Valley came up short against Santa Cruz in their previous matchup back in January, falling 2-0. Can Scotts Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
