Basketball Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 52-36 fall against the Manila Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 62-33 loss last Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manila to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kallie Bair, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Bair has become a key player for Manila: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 15 points, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Slaugh, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Manila, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manila, they have already played their next match, a 48-40 loss against Tabiona on the 14th.
