Basketball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Metamora Redbirds

The Minooka Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Metamora Redbirds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Minooka is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Thursday, Minooka didn't have too much trouble with Yorkville as they won 54-37. The game marked the Indians' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Metamora unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 61-42 bruising from Washington. The contest marked the Redbirds' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Minooka's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Metamora, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Minooka came up short against Metamora when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 47-42. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
