Baseball Recap: Gonzales Comes Up Short

Gonzales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the Pflugerville Panthers. If the Apaches were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gonzales saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Gallardo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Gallardo brought in this season.

Gonzales' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Pflugerville, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Gonzales wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-1 loss against Akins on the 7th. As for Pflugerville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Lehman on the 7th.
