Baseball Recap: St. Catherine's Sets Scoring Season-High Against Racine Lutheran/Prairie

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Catherine). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders on Thursday, sneaking past 18-17. With that win, the Angels brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Issac Cantu was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Cantu was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with four stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of St. Catherine's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Max Avila was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He also got two hits, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Findlay Lalor, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
