Basketball Recap: Dixie Heights Comes Up Short

Dixie Heights suffered their biggest defeat since February 16, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Covington Catholic, falling 79-53. While losing is never fun, Dixie Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Covington Catholic is ranked seventh).

Dixie Heights' loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Covington Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Dixie Heights will head out to square off against Bracken County at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Covington Catholic, they will welcome Conner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
