Boise barely beat Meridian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Brave blew past the Warriors 13-7 on Friday. Considering the Brave have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lilly Hopstad was a standout: she went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lily Binford was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Boise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Boise has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Meridian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Coming up, Boise is taking a road trip to take on Timberline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Brave surely won't give up without a fight. As for Meridian, they will square off against Sitka at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
