Volleyball Recap: Wahoo Warriors vs. Platteview Trojans
If Wahoo was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Beatrice on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Platteview Trojans on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
Wahoo took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-19.
When it comes to explaining why Wahoo lost, don't look at Elena Estudillo. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and two assists. Estudillo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Keira Johnston also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Platteview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camille Carlson, who had eight digs.
