Volleyball Recap: Jane Kubat and Mary Bahle Secure Win for Omaha Westside

Omaha Westside won the last time they faced Duchesne and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals.

Leading Omaha Westside to victory were Mary Bahle and Jane Kubat. Bahle had four aces, while Kubat had five digs and four assists. Those four aces gave Bahle a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Omaha Westside was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Duchesne only served one.

Omaha Westside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Duchesne, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Coincidentally, Omaha Westside and Duchesne will both be playing Elkhorn South the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
