Football Recap: Willamette Skates Past Grants Pass with Ease + How To Watch

Willamette lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grants Pass, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Wolverines took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-21 win over the Cavemen. With the Wolverines ahead 27-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Willamette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maveryck Akers, who rushed for 66 yards and three TDs. Hunter Vaughn was in the mix too, providing the Wolverines with two scores.

Willamette has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points this season. As for Grants Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
