Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 46-35 to the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Father McGivney Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Izzie Venarsky out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Venarsky a new career-high in boards. Alexa Jones was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and four steals.

Liberty now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Father McGivney Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
