Xavier Prep put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Yucaipa Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Saints were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Thunderbirds, so the Saints were just returning the favor.

Xavier Prep walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-7, 25-18.

Lyla Barkett paced Xavier Prep's offense, picking up ten kills. Barkett got some help from Annabel Frederick and her 24 assists. Barkett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Xavier Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Yucaipa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Xavier Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Rancho Christian on the 15th. As for Yucaipa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Paloma Valley on the 18th.
