Parklane Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over the Jackson Academy Raiders on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won five matchups in a row dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parklane Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoe Alford, who shot 47% from the field en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Carlyle Carruth, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

Coming up, Parklane Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Jackson Prep at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Brookhaven Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
