Softball Recap: Lake Orion Has No Trouble Against Petoskey

Petoskey typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Lake Orion proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Northmen with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Lake Orion now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Petoskey, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1.

Lake Orion and Petoskey should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Dragons will square off against North Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (84 vs. 254). Meanwhile, Petoskey (ranked fourth) will meet Alpena (ranked 207th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
