 The Father McGivney Catholic Griffins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine  matches by 20  points or more this season. They claimed a resounding  59-28 victory over Christ Our Rock Lutheran at home. Given Father McGivney Catholic's advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 201st, while Christ Our Rock Lutheran is ranked 504th), the result  on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Father McGivney Catholic was led to victory by  Sami Oller and  Mia Lieberman.  Oller  scored 18 points, while  Lieberman  scored 15 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Lieberman has scored at least 25% of Father McGivney Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was  Katherine Empson, who  scored ten points.
 Father McGivney Catholic has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-9.
 Father McGivney Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Carlyle at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Carlyle is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Althoff Catholic at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Althoff Catholic focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up seven on Monday.
