Volleyball Recap: More Takes a Loss

More lost against The Nueva School back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights came up short against the Mavericks, falling 3-0.

While More had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

The Nueva School found their leader in freshman Julia Cai, who had 13 kills and three aces. Cai is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Elie Woodstone was another key player, getting 15 assists.

More has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for The Nueva School, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

More didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against University Prep Academy on the 2nd. As for The Nueva School, they will be playing at home against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
