Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal Titans vs. St. Anne's-Belfield Saints

The Trinity Episcopal Titans will venture away from home to take on the St. Anne's-Belfield Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Trinity Episcopal blew past Petersburg, posting a 77-41 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Crimson Wave are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Anne's-Belfield ended up a good deal behind John Marshall on Saturday and lost 95-77. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (61), the Saints still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Anne's-Belfield and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Trinity Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Trinity Episcopal suffered a grim 96-76 defeat to St. Anne's-Belfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Trinity Episcopal avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
