If North Judson-San Pierre wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kankakee Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Brady Sampson. The Kankakee Valley Kougars enjoyed a cozy 50-31 victory over the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays on Friday thanks in part to Sampson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. He also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Kankakee Valley is 6-2 when he posts at least three steals, but 6-9 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Brodie Ellenwood, who posted nine points. What's more, he posted two steals, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Kankakee Valley now has a winning record of 12-11. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

When Kankakee Valley and North Judson-San Pierre next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Kankakee Valley will take on River Forest and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kankakee Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season. Similarly, North Judson-San Pierre will try to stop South Central's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
