Basketball Game Preview: Smithfield Sentinels vs. Barrington Eagles

The Smithfield Sentinels will challenge the Barrington Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Smithfield has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with eight straight losses, while Barrington will come in with three straight victories.

On Saturday, Smithfield ended up a good deal behind North Kingstown and lost 73-59.

Meanwhile, Barrington didn't have too much trouble with Wheeler on Saturday as they won 60-44.

That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Barrington's points. Another player making a difference was Colin McDermott, who had 21 points.

Barrington's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Smithfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Smithfield was dealt a bruising 83-49 loss at the hands of Barrington in their previous meeting on January 6th.
