Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Falls Short Against Ranked J.H. Rose + How To Watch

Chapel Hill faced J.H. Rose in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Rampants by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rampants apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Chapel Hill actually scored more points across those five sets (105-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-11.

Eva Smith paced Chapel Hill's offense, picking up 16 kills. Smith got some help from Leila Tooloee and her 21 assists. Sarah Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for J.H. Rose, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Chapel Hill has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Seaforth on the 27th. As for J.H. Rose, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Ayden - Grifton on the 26th.
