Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arroyo Knights. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ALEX MORENO, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. The Vikings are 4-1 when MORENO posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

Mountain View now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Arroyo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Arroyo, they will welcome Bell Gardens at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
