Volleyball Game Preview: Haldane Blue Devils vs. Woodlands Falcons

The Haldane Blue Devils will take on the Woodlands Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Haldane turned things around against Hamilton on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Raiders 3-2.

Haldane was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Woodlands had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a set and slipped past Peekskill 1-0.

Haldane's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Woodlands, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Haldane's way against Woodlands when the teams last played back in September of 2019, as Haldane made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
