Basketball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

If New Hope was riding high fresh off their 53-18 takedown of West Point last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Hope Trojans came up short against the Pontotoc Warriors on Friday, falling 55-30. The Trojans have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Pontotoc, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

New Hope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pontotoc, they will welcome Cleveland Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
