Newsome won the last time they faced Gaither and things went their way on Friday too. The Newsome Wolves came out on top against the Gaither Cowboys by a score of 3-1. Given Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Cowboys are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Luca Savino and Carter Chaney scored all three of Newsome's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.
