Football Game Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. Mize Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Wesson Cobras will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mize Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wesson's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.

Wesson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Perry Central to the tune of 49-14. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Damarion Smith was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 51 yards.

Wesson's run defense was locked in: Perry Central could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. While three picked up at least five total tackles, Smith stood above the rest. He picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Wesson didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mize). They blew past Lake 49-16 on Friday.

Wesson's record is now 10-0. As for Mize, their record now sits at 5-6.

Wesson beat Mize 20-7 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Cobras repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
