Baseball Recap: Columbia Academy Has No Trouble Against Spring Hill

Columbia Academy had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 20-5 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Spring Hill Raiders as they made off with a 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jax Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Jones was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Jacob Woodward was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Nic Serrano was another key player, earning three runs and two stolen bases.

As for Spring Hill, they dropped their record down to 9-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly six runs.

On Spring Hill's side, Nolan Brister was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As of now, neither Columbia Academy nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
