            Baseball Recap: Calvary Day School Cougars vs. Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Calvary Day School was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They came up short against  the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans, falling  13-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  9-3  last Tuesday.

 Patrick Reynolds was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-4. He also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Kaden Christian made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. That  double was  his first of the season.
Calvary Day School now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Day School will square off against Greensboro Day School at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Greensboro Day School's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Calvary Day School's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they will take on Legion Collegiate Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
