It's playoff time, and Mohawk had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the New Riegel Blue Jackets 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on six straight.

Aubrey Gottfried spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mohawk secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Katie Woodland, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Mohawk's record is now 21-5. As for New Riegel, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Mohawk will host Upper Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Riegel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
