Basketball Recap: Keswick Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Keswick Christian won the last time they faced American Youth Academy, and Caleb Potter did his part to make sure it happened again. The Keswick Christian Crusaders blew past the American Youth Academy Eagles, posting a 72-37 victory thanks in part to Potter, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Batey, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

With the win, Keswick Christian broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-10. As for American Youth Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Keswick Christian will venture away from home to challenge Indian Rocks Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Rocks Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for American Youth Academy, they will be playing at home against Excel Christian Academy Blue at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Adam Ibrahim and William Medina.
