Softball Game Preview: North Pole Patriots vs. Delta Huskies

North Pole is 1-8-1 against Delta since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 2:00 p.m. The last three games North Pole has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

North Pole played against Monroe Catholic on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Delta is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: West Valley, who was ranked 13th at the time (Delta was ranked 17th). The Huskies fell just short of the Wolf Pack by a score of 9-7 on Friday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Pole pushed their record up to 8-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
