Soccer Game Preview: Altavista vs. Chatham

Altavista hasn't had much luck against Chatham recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Colonels will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Altavista didn't have quite enough to beat Galileo and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Chatham put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Galileo an 8-0 shutout. Chatham might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Galileo with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ariyana Bradley (3), Kevanna Gibson (2), Delaney Haymore (2), and Leighton Johnston.

Chatham pushed their record up to 12-0-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Altavista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-3.

Altavista might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from Chatham in their previous matchup on May 7th. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colonels were down 6-1.
